Write Our Reps!

In order to get the expanded gambling legislation on the ballot in November, we have to convince our elected representatives in Frankfort that we care, and that this is important to us! To do so, write a letter to our senator, Ernie Harris, and representatives, Rick Rand and David Osborne.

Your letter doesn't have to be long. It can just be a few lines, saying, "I vote, and the expanded gambling legislation is important to me. I want this to be on the November ballot." We have to speak up now!

Here are addresses for Sen. Harris, Rep. Rand, and Rep. Osborne.

Welcome to Bluegrass Democracy Now

Welcome to our site! Bluegrass Democracy Now is composed of a group of independent minded voters who believe we should have the right to vote on whether or not Kentucky should have expanded gaming.

Some of us are Democrats; some of us are Republicans; some of us are Libertarians; and some of us aren't a member of a party. But we do agree on one thing. For years, our elected officials have debated the issue of having casino gambling in our state. Year after year, this issue pops up again.

Here is what we want: We want a say. Both the State House and the State Senate will be reviewing a bill this year to add a constitutional amendment about gaming to the November ballot. We are urging our elected officials to APPROVE placing this amendment on the vote so we, the voters of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, can say what we want.
